In the Park
Junior Playground
The larger of the two playgrounds in Georges Park, the junior playground is located near the Wills St entrance of the Park. This playground has a varied selection of swings, rocket climbing frame, disabled friendly roundabout and benches.
Toddler Playground
The toddler playground is next to the junior playground. It has a selection of slides, swings, climbing frames, spring rockers and benches.
Skate Park
The skate park is suitable for skateboards, BMX, inline skating and scooters. It is located towards the Brougham Street entrance. It has skate ramps, full halfpipe and rails. The skate park is part of the Lozells Arts Trail.
Woodlands
The mini woodlands is approximately 1 acre of forest land located to west side of the park. The woodlands has a short walking trail.
Noticeboard
The community noticeboard is situated opposite the toddler playground. The noticeboard is the only community noticeboard in Lozells. It contains information about events taking place in the area as well as other community notices.
Band stand
The bandstand is situated near the Brougham Street entrance of the park, near Skate Park.
Information
There are no toilets in the park, the nearest toilets are at the Lighthouse Young Peoples Centre, approximately 1 mile away. There is no parking facilities in the park.
The Daily Mile at Georges Park
The park has a walking circuit suitable for walking, jogging or cycling. There are lines painted on the ground as a guide to walking a mile in the park. To walk a mile in the park you can start at the main entrance on Wille Street/ Villa Street corner, proceed to walk 4.5 times around the circuit to complete 1 mile using the yellow, blue, red and white lines as a guide.
